群馬県みどり市にある焼き菓子販売の店舗である。
パンや焼き菓子に関する本を多数所持しているオーナーが、それらの本を読みながらイートインもできるビブリオテーク（フランス語：図書館）を作りたいという思いから設計がスタートした。入り口付近の陳列棚から続くカウンターの天板を緩やかに繋げ、そのまま本棚のあるイートインスペースへと繋がる動線計画とし、陳列された本や焼き菓子が外からも視認できるように既存のサッシを透明ガラスへ入れ替えた。店舗ファサードは一部壁面を塗り直す程度にし、内部から浮き出るビブリオテークを作ることにデザインを絞ることで大間々町という地域と調和した店舗となった。

This is a store selling baked sweets in Midori, Gunma. The owner, who owns many books on bread and baked goods, wanted to create a “bibliothèque” (library) where people can read these books and eat at the same time. The board of the display shelf near the entrance is connected to the counter, which leads to the eating space with a bookshelf. The existing door and windows were replaced with transparent glass so that the books and baked goods on display could be seen from the outside. The facade walls were only partially repainted, and the design was focused on creating an interior “bibliothèque”. The store is now in harmony with the local community of Omamamachi.
