群馬県伊勢崎市の店舗併用住宅の計画である。クライアントが主宰するブランド”yurika akutsu”のフラッグシップショップとしてカフェも併設している。店名にもなっている「誰にも教えたくない自分だけの特別な場所」となるよう、前面道路に対してはあえて開かず、敷地の奥へ入っていくにつれて建物全体がわかるような建ち方とした。ショップ部分はギャラリーのようにシンプルな白い壁に高い天井、住宅部分は天井高を抑え構造の木を表し、2階の寝室床に黄色いカーペットを敷き詰めた。空間のスケールや仕上げにメリハリを付けることで、それぞれの場所で過ごす時間にコントラストを与える。照明のスイッチや空間を仕切る建具は存在を意識させない納まりを心掛け、日常とは違う特別な場所を目指した。南側に設けた大きな開口から店舗内のカラフルな什器や照明の柔らかい灯りが溢れ、ディスプレイのように店の顔となる。什器や外構で各専門家とコラボレーションし、施主のものづくりの一環としての空間をつくり上げていった。

 

This project in Isesaki, Gunma, serves as a mixed-use residence and the flagship shop for the brand “yurika akutsu,” featuring an integrated cafe. Embodying the shop’s name—meaning “a special place just for me that I don’t want to tell anyone about”—the building is deliberately closed off from the front road, only revealing its full form as one moves deeper into the site. The interior creates a distinct contrast in scale and materiality: the shop area features high ceilings and simple white gallery-like walls, while the residential section has lower ceilings with exposed wooden structures and a vibrant yellow carpet throughout the second-floor bedroom. These variations in volume and finish create a rhythmic experience between the different zones. To foster an extraordinary atmosphere, lighting switches and partitions are designed to be nearly invisible. Through a large southern opening, soft light and colorful fixtures from within spill out, acting as a display that forms the “face” of the shop. Developed through collaborations with experts in furniture and landscaping, the space was crafted as an extension of the client’s own philosophy of craftsmanship.
