A project for a new stationery store along a roadside in Maebashi, Gunma. While maintaining the existing store’s brand identity under a new branding strategy, we designed the interior in a single tone of grey to make the products stand out, featuring fixtures scaled to match individual stationery items. The facade features low eaves that act as a transition from the large scale of the roadside to the intimate scale of the stationery. The wall above the eaves is finished with horizontal siding that ages over time, resembling the ruled lines of a notebook, with the brand concept displayed in neon signage.
